 This training program is intended to provide a general overview of the layout of Cable Airport, building locations and numbering system, gate access, potential hazards and driving rules and regulations.

 Gate Card Issuance Form  Driver License/ Automobile Insurance  Driver Training Test * Verify accuracy of information and complete Driver Training Program annually

 Provide current driver license  Provide current automobile insurance

 Final Test  Score of 80% to pass  Test Results   Mail  Available for pick up in Cable’s Administrative Office

 Copies of an applicants drivers license and automobile insurance along with the successful completion of the Driver Training Test  The Gate Card Issuance Record * All documents must be provided to the airport administration before a gate card will be issued

Runway Incursions Defined - Any occurrence at an Airport involving an aircraft, vehicle, person or object on the ground that creates a collision hazard or results in loss of separation with an aircraft taking off, or intending to take off, landing or intending to land.

 Provide Driver Training Program to….. o Reduce Incursions o Provide Initial and recurring Training o Control Access to Airport o Discuss Airport Rules & Regulations and driving procedures with airport users

Building Identifiers

 Do not allow access to the Airport to anyone unknown to you  Most vehicular incursions result from a driver who has been provided entry to the airport and is unfamiliar with the Airport Operations Rules and Regulations  Upon entering the airport all vehicles are required to stop and allow the gate to close behind them

 Know current location at all times  Give way to Fire, Police and Airport vehicles  Know the meaning of airfield markings, signs and lights

 A rotating beacon on an aircraft signifies the aircraft is moving or about to move  Maintain safe distances from all aircrafts  Aircrafts have the right of way at all times  Never drive under a wing of an aircraft  Know pilots have a limited view from the cockpit

 Be cognoscente of the designated areas where the speed limit is different  Those who are caught speeding on Airport grounds WILL have their gate access revoked

 To obtain a copy of Cable Airport’s Rules and Regulations please see the Airport Manager

o Must have a current and valid drivers license o Speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted o No person under the age of 15 years of age shall operate any motorized vehicle, or 12 years of age any non motorized vehicle, on airport grounds unless under the direct supervision by an adult o Give way to aircraft, emergency and aircraft vehicles

 Park vehicles in designated parking areas  No person shall park or store a vehicle within 15 feet of a fire hydrant  Parking in Taxiways is limited to 15 minutes

 The Airport Manager has the authority to remove at the owners expense any vehicle which is parked on the Airport in violation of the Rules and Regulations or the Operations of the Airport

Taxiways and Runways- Requires radio contact with UNICOM

Ramps, Aprons, Taxi Lanes and Roadways- Does not require radio contact with UNICOM
