*Why in the World Wide Web? Note: This article appeared in the January, 1997 issue of Technology & Learning and is copyrighted by Jamie McKenzie. Consider the Four Primary Goals for a School Web Site*. 1.Introduce visitors to your school. 2. Highlight best resources available on the larger Web. 3. Provide opportunities to showcase student work, both locally and globally. 4. Allow for access to curriculum-related topics virtually. Also, consider: 1.Who are your viewers? (Students, Faculty, Parents, Community, etc.) 2.What type of information do you want to provide for your viewer? 3.What is the best way to convey the information? 4.What do you want your viewer to be able to do? Thinking about your subsite
III. Plan your subsite, assign channels, and create sections.
