The company was established in 1989, focused on the development of the multiphase simulator OLGA. The development started in 1980 with IFE and Sintef, and the first version was ready in In 1989 Scandpower received the responsibility to commercialize the simulator, and the first commercial release was ready in 1991.

OLGA is the industry standard tool for transient simulation of multiphase petroleum production. The purpose of this manual is to assist the user in the preparation of the input data for an OLGA simulation.

The Olga has 3 models for calculating corrosion: de Ward 95 model NORSOK model Top of Line corrosion model For Malekuh case OLGA calculated mm per year but it is near the rate of corrosion in published document(0.002 mm per year).
