2 Introduction  This presentation shows:  the charter of the Space Communications Cross Support Architecture WG,  the current status of each item defined in the charter, and  goals of this meeting.

4 Status of Each Item Defined in the Charter  Space Communication Cross Support Architecture recommended practice  A White Book (issue 1.1) is available.  The IOAG asked us to take care of their SISG ADD.  We came up with the document structure shown on following page.  Relationship with RA SIG work?  Recommended standard for service catalogs  ?  Recommended standard for service agreements  A draft was distributed by Kelliher in May  Comments by Hell.

Issue 1  There are multiple CCSDS documents that specify an architecture:  Reference Architecture for Space Data Systems (RASDS) (SAWG)  Reference Architecture for Space Information Systems (IAWG)  Space Communication Cross Support Architecture (CSAWG)  Cross Support Reference Model (CSS)  Mission Operations Architecture (SMCWG)  Spacecraft Onboard Interface Architecture (SOIS)  Overall CCSDS Architecture (RASIG) 10

Issue 2  Some of these books define viewpoints according to IEEE 1471 or ISO  Should all of the viewpoints be defined in a single document? If so, what document should define the viewpoints?  Should each of the documents define the viewpoints that are necessary in the document? If so, how can we maintain consistency among different viewpoints definitions? 11

Issue 3  Where are the boundaries among different sets of services?  Where is the boundary between space communication services and mission operation services? Where do SLE services belong to? Where does SLE SM belong to?  Where is the boundary between space information services and mission operation services?  Where do the SOIS services belong to?  Where should these boundaries be defined and documented? I think we need a SIG to resolve these issues. 12
