Outreach Annual International Conference - FOSS4G - Locally organized conference in September which rotates continents every year on a 3 year rotation. Traditionally North America, Europe, and one of the other continents. FOSS4G 2015 is planned for Seoul, South Korea, Locations are chosen from bids from host counties/locations. Regional conferences can be organized in the years that the main FOSS4G conference does not occur on that continent. FOSS4G North America (FOSS4G-NA) is planned for San Francisco, CA March All conferences using the OSGeo name must coordinate with the OSGeo conference committee,
Recognition During the Annual FOSS4G conference, the Sol Katz Award for Geospatial Free and Open Source Software is presented to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in the Geospatial Free and Open Source Software Community.
