Community Discussion Comments –Process: late inclusion of BoF into APNIC38 program –Evolution: from PPAC to cooperation-sig –Scope: support to include governments in the new SIG –Concern that it should be effective and active: will it have enough support? 4

Proposed Draft Charter – Proposed The Cooperation SIG is a forum for discussion about broader Internet issues like Public Policy and Internet Governance, which are related to APNIC community interests, but which involve governments, other organizations, and other communities. The Secretariat will report to the SIG about APNIC’s outreach activities and seek advice and guidance on future activities. The SIG will act as a forum to develop and clarify the APNIC community's position on issues of relevance to the public sector, or on matters for which a community position has been sought. The SIG should focus on information sharing, outreach, capacity building, and other activities that will advance APNIC’s vision for a global, open, stable, and secure Internet. 5

Where to now? Consensus call –CONFER: Consensus to endorse formation of Cooperation SIG (as a successor of the PPAC) –Appointment of acting Co-Chair(s): Dr Govind (NIXI), Aftab Siddiqui (Cybernet Pakistan), and Dean Pemberton (InternetNZ) Next –Secretariat to establish a new mailing list and migrate PPAC subscribers –Mailing list work on Draft Charter –Call for Chair Nominees January/February 2015 APNIC 39, Fukuoka Japan 2015 –First SIG Meeting –Elect Chair & Co-Chair(s) –Endorse Charter 6
