Partners in Student Success Some Basic Things to Know So You Can Support Your First Year Student University Advising Services

Partners? Definition of “partner” A person who shares with another in some endeavor Food for thought…when and how can I partner with my student?

“Beginning the college experience is an exhilarating feeling. Incoming freshmen are excited for the independence, the parties, and so much more. A lot of students don’t know, however, how time consuming and important school actually is. College is much more than what the movies show or what the students’ imagine college to be.” Jackie How to partner with your student as he/she begins the exhilaration experience known as “College”.

Requirements (Academic) University Advising Services

Written Communication 2 courses, must earn a “C” or better Science and the Natural World 2 courses, one from group A. The second course may be from group A or group B, one course must have a lab. Mathematics & Quantitative Reasoning 2 courses, must earn a “C” or better, one from group A. The second course may be from group A or group B. Society and Human Behavior 2 courses, one from group A.
