MA : Analyze the relationship among tables, graphs (including graphing technology when available), and equations of linear functions, paying attention to the meaning of intercept and slope

Slope intercept form- The slope intercept form is probably the most frequently used way to express equation of a line. To be able to use slope intercept form, all that you need to be able to do is first find the slope of the line and then find the y-intercept of the line.

Example:

Create a Question: Q: WHAT IS THE SLOPE OF THE LINE? Q: What is the y-intercept of the line on the left? Q: Use slope-intercept form to write the line as an equation?

The solution: (1) Rise over run = 2. (Rise 2, Run 1) (2) The y-intercept is 2, or (0,2) (3) y = mx + b m = 2 (slope) b = 2 (y-intercept), so y = 2x

Credits So hopefully you get it, and if not then look in your math on call book or look in your math book or even ask people around you and thats how you will learn because thats how I did. I would like to thank all of the class time I got to do this project because without all of the extra time I dont know how I would be able to do this project or finish it on time. This project was real boring but I know that Mr. Imamura wanted to make people smart in this class so I wont say anything. So thats it really no else to thank except Rebecca because she thanked me. So even though I hated ever single second of this project (seriously) at least I learned something that probably almost everyone in this room doesnt know. Oh well.
