Technical comments on mirroring - I bildmirror.pl by Thomas Severiens (perl) highlights: + simple in using + quite fast - integrity not checked (corrupted file would never been replaced by the correct one )

Technical comments on mirroring -II ftp I have experience running since 1993 ftp.chg.ru (539.9 GB of public domain software) ftp-server and use: 1) mirror-2.9 by Lee McLaughlin (perl) + relatively simple + check-out of the date and size - ftp-protocol

Technical comments on mirroring -III 2) rsync by Andrew Tridgell, Paul Mackerras (binary): + check-out of the date and size + check-out of checksum - needs in a special daemon installed at master site
