What is ePO? Centralized multi-lingual anti-virus policy management and enforcement Software deployment Reporting capabilities A single tool to control and deploy all McAfee anti-virus software for desktops and servers
Requirements for ePO Windows NT 4.0 or 2000 server Processor 500 MHz or higher Memory 128MB – 2GB Hard drive space 6GB – 36GB MSDE or SQL 7 Agents: 2MB disk space, 32MB of RAM, Windows 95 – Windows XP OS ePO software, current version 2.5
ePO Components ePO installs under the McAfee Program Folder. The console is started from this location.
ePO Components cont’d This is the front end to ePO. It uses the MMC console interface. The options from here are Login to the ePO, go to the NAI web page, or bring up help.
ePO Components cont’d To log into the ePO server a userid and password is required. The first time into the software the username is admin and the password is admin. Note: The software uses port 80 and 81 for communication. This can be altered at installation time.

ePO Components cont’d Directory is customized by the administrator. Repository holds the software to be distributed. ePO Reports is the database and queries to run reports. Note: can also customize reports and queries.

Where to get ePO software? Software available for everyone at ASU under the current anti- virus license. Download from tivirus then choose ePolicy Orchestrator. tivirus
