Rats By Lindsey Dietzen

Habitat Rats live in urban and rural parts of the world. Rats sometimes live with humans in cages.

Characteristics Rats in urban areas typically have brown, wiry hair in shades of brown, gray or black. Rats have blunt noses, small ears, small eyes, and long hairless tails. Rats have poor eyesight, cant see color. Rats dont have thumbs, canine teeth, gallbladders, or tonsils. Rats are nocturnal.

5Interesting facts Rats do not like cheese and are allergic to it. Some rats teeth can grow up to 5 inches a year. There are around 235 million in the USA alone. Rats as pets can learn simple tricks and commands. Rats have no bellybutton or gallbladder.
