MUSIC AND MOVEMENT PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN PRESENTED BY: STEPHANIE DERRICK OF: (MUSIC,MOVEMENT AND ART CREATIVES).

OBJECTIVE: TO INTRODUCE MUSICAL CONCEPTS TO CHILDREN THROUGH FAMILIAR SONGS AND USING MOVEMENT. LET STUDENTS HAVE FUN MOVING WHILE THEY ARE LEARNING AND GETTING UP TO 10,000 STEPS OF MOVEMENT IN A 1 HR. PROGRAM.

OBJECTIVE: STUDENTS HAVE BECOME INACTIVE AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GET IN SOME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WHILE THEY LEARN. INCREASE THEIR LITERACY, INFERENCING SKILLS, HEAR STORIES THROUGH THE MUSIC AND RETELL IT.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN… MUSICAL TEKS THRU THE STATE OF TEXAS: THIS IS ONLY A FEW: identify the difference between the singing and speaking voice; and identify the timbre of adult voices and instruments. Creative expression/performance. The student performs a varied repertoire of music. sing songs from diverse cultures and styles The student relates music to history, to society, and to culture. The student is expected to: sing songs from different cultures identify simple relationships between music and other subjects. identify steady beat in musical performances; and identify higher/lower, louder/softer, faster/slower, and same/different in musical performances identify instruments visually and aurally; identify music forms such as AB and ABA identify aurally-presented excerpts of music representing diverse genres, styles, periods, and cultures; identify woodwind, brass, string, percussion, keyboard, and electronic instruments; and instruments of various cultures ( 4 TH GRADE AND UP) AND MUCH MORE!!!

DEVELOPMENT AND FEES: THE PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED FROM A FORMER MUSIC TEACHER OF 24 YRS. AND WAS CREATED IN THE CLASSROOM, AND WAS THE MOST REQUESTED ACTIVITY AND WITH A SUCCESS OF 99% PARTICIPATION. IT WAS USED FROM PRE-K 3 UP THRU 5TH GRADE. OLDER STUDENTS ENJOY THE ACTIVITY FOR EXERCISE WITH THEIR FAVORITE SONG SELECTIONS… FEES: THE COST FOR THIS PROGRAM TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN YOUR PROGRAM IS : (BASED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS).
