Bringing your Life Together

Class II Synchronizing Our Reality And Doctrine What is Our Reality What we experience from day to day. What is Our Doctrine What proclaim about ourselves that define our relationship with God. For most Christians, Our reality and doctrine does not agree.

Does Prayer Work? What are the criteria by which to determine if it works? a predictable explainable outcome. a systematic way of applying it to similar situations over and over again and receiving the expected result.

Does Your Prayer Work? If you look back over 2010, do you have more answered prayers than un answered prayers? If you had to choose between relying on your prayers for healing from headache or taking a pain killer what would you do?

Temporal Blessing, Is it God’s plan? Paradise is where God designed for us to live Eden was made for Adam and Eve Canaan (land of milk and honey) was set apart for the child of Israel Paradise continues to be God’s choice for us while on earth John 10:10, Deut. 28:1-14 God is concerned about how we live on earth He makes provision for us to have a victorious, peaceful life on earth.

The earthly paradise? A place of blessing A land of milk and honey We still have work to do but everything we do is productive A place we can live It is not something we experience periodically but something we experience consistently Adam and Eve lived in Eden, Children of Israel lived in Canaan A place of great harvest A place of increase in possession and productivity A place of abiding victory over our enemy Struggles and battles may still exist. Victory is guaranteed. Psalm 91.

What hinders our Paradise? Why are we living in the wilderness instead of going into the promise land Lack of knowledge and/or understanding Living in denial No expectation for better.

What hinders our Paradise? Lack of knowledge and/or understanding We have no knowledge of a promise land here on earth. We believe God is only interested in our eternal issues.

What hinders our Paradise? Living in denial We refuse to acknowledge how bad things are We justify why things are the way they are A fear of confronting God or putting Him on the spot

What hinders our Paradise? No expectation for better We know things could be better but we are so used to it being bad that we no longer expect good. Even thou we know that things ought to be better we are so used to the state we are afraid to try something new

How to enter Paradise Faith in God Know that God has constraints on himself Understand that there are times God has no choice Working within the constraints God has placed on himself Putting God on the spot I am unable to change God – Believe God – Believe His Word.
