Pioneering Science and Technology Office of Science U.S. Department of Energy 2 APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EGEE&C) EGEE&C held its first meeting in Hawaii in 1992 The US was the first Chair, followed by Singapore, New Zealand, Chinese Taipei, and China The US formed two subgroups -Inter-Utility Demand Side Management Liaison Group (1994) -Energy for Sustainable Communities Program (1996) A total of 41 projects have been completed since 1992
