School Improvement Plan Look what we have accomplished! and what we hope to accomplish!

Changes in how scores were reported Students scores are in one of three levels/categories: –Emergent (1-3) –Achieved (4-6) –Commended (7-9) Most of our students are Emergent
Reading End of Year Results: 14% of Everhart students assessed in reading by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 3 – 10) achieved a level 4 or higher in order to attain adequate yearly progress. 80% of the students in the school made gains in reading as assessed on school wide reading assessments Next Years goal utilizing Safe Harbor 23% of Everhart students assessed in Reading by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 3 – 10) will achieve a level 4 or higher.
Writing End of Year Results: 4% of Everhart students assessed in writing by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 4, 8 & 10) achieved a level 4 or higher. 50% achieved a level 3 or higher! Next Years goal: 14% of Everhart students assessed in writing by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 4, 8 & 10) will achieve a level 4 or higher as evidenced by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report results.
Math End of Year Objective: 7% of Everhart students assessed in mathematics by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 3 – 10) achieved a level 4 or higher in order to attain adequate yearly progress. Next years goal utilizing Safe Harbor: 17% of the students tested on the FAA (grades 3-10) will achieve a level 4 or higher.
Science End of Year Results: 9% of Everhart students assessed in science by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 5, 8 & 10) achieved a level 4 or higher. Next years goal: 18% of Everhart students assessed in science by the Florida Alternate Assessment (grades 5, 8 & 10) will achieve a level 4 or higher as evidenced by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report results.
Florida Alternate Assessment: Takes into consideration the 3 access point levels –Participatory Level –Supported Level –Independent Level Performance Task Approach Allows students to work across levels to their fullest potential

Attendance Goals Average daily attendance of students at Everhart is 88.32% –Next year: 90% or more 56% were absent for 10 days or more –Next year: 50% or less 18 students wil excessive unexcused tardies –Nest year: 15 students or less
Parent Involvement 75% of the parents will be in attendance at their childs IEP meeting Attendance at school sponsored activities will have at least 10 parents or more.
We are a part of Leon County Schools Accreditation Process Self studies involved in the process help us better determine the direction of our school and ultimately will impact our School Improvement Plan which is a critical component of continuous improvement
