1.Smaller Teams 2.Commitment 3.Knowledge Sharing 4.Personal Leadership 5.Organizing Your Teams AGENDA Team Work Makes the Dream Work!

Smaller Teams Within The Larger Group Consider breaking the team up into smaller groups These groups may work better together based on common experiences (jobs, experience with the organization, etc) Gage whether it would be appropriate to create friendly competition between these groups to help achieve your overall goal.

Commitment By committing to fundraise along with the rest of their team, fundraisers have a group of people they are responsible to. If they are part of a team, they will know that others will notice and be affected by their inaction. This knowledge will be even more powerful if they know their team members personally. Consider using the Hume Run page as motivation to reaffirm commitment to the cause. Show fundraisers how other affiliates are performing to insight competitiveness.

Knowledge Sharing 1.Team members can share knowledge and tips to help the group succeed as a whole. 2.People who are more experienced with fundraising can help the newbies and team members can offer encouragement to each other. 3.The sharing of knowledge between all team members and leadership is pertinent to the success of your efforts.

Personal Leadership Designate Team Leaders: Teams with a designated leader will have a closer point of contact to help them if they need it. Instead of all your fundraisers sending you s with all their questions, they can contact their team leader. The team leader not only raises money but also volunteers to guide and rally their team. Having a smaller unit of fundraisers working together can help everyone get the support and encouragement they need without inundating you with every concern.

DONATE. RECRUIT. WIN! It’s best if your fundraising teams are organized based on something they have in common, although it’s definitely not necessary. This gives team members an easy way to identify or differentiate the people they are working with. 1.Managing from the Top (Clear leadership and chain of command) 2.Educate Your Fundraisers 3.Talk to Your Donors (Encourage, Thank, and Uplift) 4.Check In With Team Leaders
