 According to the Merriam dictionary, Spanish is the chief language of Spain and of many countries colonized by Spain, and Spanish American is a native or inhabitant of one of the countries of America in which Spanish is the national language.

The language know as Spanish, developed in the north- central part of the Iberian Peninsula in what is now northern Spain.

*In the past 1,000 years, the language expanded south to the Mediterranean Sea.

* The Spanish language came to America though the Spanish Colonization in 1492.

 Old Spanish is also known as Old Castilian or Medieval Spanish, it is an early form of the Spanish language that was spoken on the Iberian Peninsula from the 10th century until roughly the beginning of the 15th century. This picture is a representation of the old Spanish in Spain centuries ago.

 Modern Spanish is considered to have evolved from a Petri dish located in Hispania on the Iberian Peninsula around the middle ages, it’s is also known as Castilian. This picture is a representation of the modern Spanish, today in Spain and in many countries.

Now, Spanish is the native language of many countries and is spoken by more than 500 million people in the world.

 Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a famous Hispanic writer.  He was born in Colombia in He wrote many stories and poems and he also won a Nobel Prize in He is still alive.

Shakira is a famous Hispanic singer. She was born in 1977 in Colombia. She is a famous singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and dancer.

 As you can see, we speak Spanish so we can tell you that is not difficult to learn it. Spanish is a popular language that everybody can learn. Spanish is another popular language, many people speak the language, in many countries and in others it is spoken as a second language.
