AIMS: To discuss Physical Education and its role in delivering the health agenda Projects that schools can get involved in through Sport Impact Next Steps….

Physical Education The building block on which future levels of physical activity are based. Drop out begins at age 8 due to children becoming self aware of their ability. Developmental delay becomes ‘obvious’ to the child Physical Education needs to deliver the A, B, C’s – ‘skills’ not just ‘sport’

Physical Education Improving teacher confidence in teaching Physical Education through ‘fundamentals’ Early Years motor skill development is not just about ‘sport’. Improves writing frame Improves concentration Improves behaviour Improves self-esteem

Playground Markings Project The majority of schools in Hounslow have PGM installed. PCT has commissioned Sport Impact to enhance training / support.
