ALL questions regarding activities through the end of the dance year SHOULD be answered in this Booklet. HELP WANTED! Wanted: Energetic, Hard-working Moms What: Help Backstage When: During our Spring Recital Performances Job Specs: You will be assigned to a group of dancers and will stay with those dancers throughout the recital. You will need to bring them backstage 3 numbers prior to when they go onstage. In addition you will be responsible for helping them to get in and out of costumes, applying correct make-up and any other assistance they may need. Perks & Benefits: You will be able to go out and view the dances) in which your child performs from the auditorium so you won’t miss a thing! A huge perk is being apart of all the backstage/behind the scene action! Special Equipment: The dancers are encouraged to bring games and snacks that don’t stain or make a mess. You will have to make sure each dancer has their recital T-Shirt on while they await the finale. Additional Info: You will still have to purchase a ticket for the performance, but will have the opportunity to participate in the day from backstage, where all the good stuff happens! And most importantly we need your help to make this performance run smoothly and stress-free for your children as possible. RECITAL FEE INCLUDES 2 tickets to Recital Recital T-Shirt Trophy Medal Class Certificate of Completion Rehearsal & Performance at Theatre Dance Tights / Accessories Prices for recital packages are as follows: 1 student in family $135 2 students in family $220 3 students in family $295 Recital package fees are due April 15, 2013 TICKET PROCESS Ticket Price $10.00 Everyone including toddlers requiring a seat will need a ticket, according to the GA Fire Code. ALL SPECIAL REQUESTS MUST BE TURNED IN BY MAY 1 BEFORE 12:00PM TO BE HONORED. Any special requests not submitted by May 2 are not guaranteed to be available. Special requests include: Handicapped seating Wheelchairs Aisle Seats Vision Any other special needs not listed PICTURE DAY – T.B.A Photos will be taken at the Studio a few weeks prior to Recital. Your child will need to wear their full costume on this day. Be sure to come with hair neatly done and in full makeup. Each class will have a group photo. Individual photos are available as well. COSTUMES Recital costumes will be distributed to the students as they start arriving at the school. Please note that if your account is not current, (including any late fees, past due tuitions, costume balances, competition fees, miscellaneous fees, etc.) your child will not be allowed to bring their costume home until financial matters are cleared up. There are no exceptions!! Please make sure your child has all the correct shoes for their classes. If you are unsure of the shoes your child needs please check with your child’s teacher. LABEL ALL COSTUME PIECES AND SHOES WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME. Please be careful with this. Label in an inconspicuous place so the marker does not bleed through. HAIR Hair will be in buns and away from your face, BANGS must be slicked back, please double check your hairstyle with your teacher. Be sure to have bobbi pins to secure headpieces. Some numbers such as the hip-hop piece will require specific hairstyles such as the “Hump”. Please confirm with your Childs Teacher. MAKE-UP –GIRLS ONLY! Makeup is to be worn heavy on the lips, eyes and cheeks. Please use good judgment for class consistency. Makeup is worn for stage lighting purposes. If they do not have enough makeup, their faces will “wash out” onstage. Makeup list: · Foundation – to match your child’s skin tone · Eye shadow – (will be determined based on costume colors) · Black eyeliner · Black Mascara · Red Blush for cheeks · Wet n Wild 509 or 519 lipstick (red).

LOST AND FOUND Check the lost and found for any items your child may have left behind (clothing - back hallway, shoes – office). All items left at the end of the school year will be donated. TROPHIES All students who participate in the Recital will receive a Trophy and Certificate of Class Completion. RECITAL VOLUNTEERS We are in need of two to four moms per class to volunteer their time during the recital season. We will need you to be available for the following dates. Ø 4/15-4/20 – Rehearsal at Studio Ø 5/03/13– Dress Rehearsal at Theatre Ø 5/04/13 – Recital at Theatre (Must arrive by 3:00pm) If you are interested please stop by the office for more information. FOOD AT REHEARSALS AND RECITALS We will not have food for purchase at rehearsals and recitals. Please pack accordingly FALL REGISTRATION We are now accepting registration for the dance year. Registration forms are available in the office, and also available on our website, There is a $30 non-refundable registration fee DANCE CAMP (May 21 st – August 9 th ) Summer Intensive Workshop is designed for the more serious dancer. Summer intensive is Mandatory for all BNM Dance Company members. Our children’s performing arts summer program features a variety of dance styles, including tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, Tumbling, African, Cheer and musical theatre. Register Online TODAY! COMPETITION TEAM AUDITIONS We will be holding competition team tryouts for anyone ages 5 and older interested in auditioning for the competition team. Please contact the office with your interest.
