Amazon Rainforest Come on Down!!

Plants and animals of the Amazon The wildlife population of the Amazon is very diverse. You can find anything from a Capybara to King Vultures. In the Amazon, there are over 40,000 species of plants and animals!! Animals Plants and animals of the Amazon The wildlife population of the Amazon is very diverse. You can find anything from a Capybara to King Vultures. Of the number of species in the Amazon, 559 belong to just birds, 300 mammal species, and a vast number of insects and beetles. No estimate can be correct, because some animal species are yet to be discovered. In the Amazon, there are millions of species of plants and animals!! Animals Plants The wildlife population of the Amazon consist mainly of plants, with over species spread out along the Amazon. An odd carnivorous plant living in the Amazon would be the Venus Fly Trap which of course, eats flies. Some plant species, like animals, are yet to be discovered. The plants in the Amazon supply over 20% of Earths oxygen!

Many plants & animals of the Amazon Rainforest depend on each other for survival. Like other food chains, this one has the largest predators eating smaller ones, and so on. Many plants & animals of the Amazon Rainforest depend on each other for survival. Like other food chains, this one has the largest predators eating smaller ones, and so on. Ecology The Brazilian Nut Tree depends on the agouti for survival. The agouti are the only animals with teeth strong enough to break the grapefruit size seed pods. These are only a few of the wondrous animals and plants in the For example: The large cheetahs and tigers eat smaller deer and rodents, such as the Capybara. The King Vultures feed on the leftover carcass, so nothing is wasted. This ensures both of their necessities are found without making them fight.

Climate and geography The Amazon Rainforest is the worlds largest rainforest. It is full of plants and animals that have to adapt to the wet soggy climate. Recently, due to global warming, water is drying up and is impacting thousands of humans, plants, and animals in the rainforest. Even though this climate change, the Amazon rainforest Still receives a LOT of rain. The wet climate never disturbs the bustling animals whether in the emerging layer on the forest floor. The Amazon rainforest is divided into 4 layers: the emerging layer, the canopy, the understory, and the forest floor The Amazon Rainforest covers 40% of South Africa and is in 8 South American Countries at once! It also has the most plants, animals, and rain in the world!
