SPORTS by Madeline Haynes

GYMNASTICS When I was five, I started taking gymnastics. I really liked it. At the end of the year, we had a competition and I came in first place and won a trophy and four ribbons.

BASKETBALL When I was six, I started playing basketball. In one game, I fell and scraped my leg and they had to take me out of the game but then they put me back in because my leg was better.

GOLF I like to go to the golf course with my dad. When I get older, he says that I can carry his golf bag while he plays in a tournament. I want to play when I get older and my dad wants me to get a golf scholarship when I go to college.

SOCCER I started playing soccer when I was six and I have played for two years. This year I play for coach Paul and coach Webb. My position is right end defense.

Sports helps keep your body healthy and it teaches you good sportsmanship. It also teaches you to treat others as you want to be treated.
