State – is a specific political and territorial organization, it is the principal means of people political power. ► The main tasks of the state : ► to realize economic, political and law functions ► to provide interests of citizens ► to provide growth of economic

The principal characteristics of the state: ► organization of public power (legislative, executive and judicial) ► territorial feature ► sovereignty ► availability of tax system ► possibility to protect interests of people

Forms of the state: ► Monarchy - is the form of ruling in accordance with the state power belonging to one person. ► Republic – is the form of ruling in accordance with the state power belonging to the Parliament, President and organs of local authorities.

Types of the state: ► Slave owing type ► Feudal type ► Bourgeois type ► Socialist type ► Democratic type

The materialistic theory ► According to this theory state was an example which appeared as a result of family community decay and the large territories conquest.

Pacted theory. ► In accordance with this theory state appeared as a result of considered people social agreement.

Organic theory ► According to this theory state was a social body which was composed of separate people like a human body from cells.

Theory of violence ► In accordance with this theory state was risen in the result of violence.

Psychological theory ► According to this theory state was the sum of psychological people interactions.

Theological theory ► State was the gift of God and he was the state creator.

Patriarchal theory ► According to this theory state power belonged to the monarch who was the head of the state

The fundamentals of Ukrainian state system

► The form of the Ukrainian state is the mixed type of republic. It contains the Parliament and the President forms of management. Ukraine is a democratic state.

► Ukraine was proclaimed an Independent State on August 24, Now, as independent state Ukraine has three national symbols:

National symbols of Ukraine: ► The National Flag (blue-on-top and yellow at the bottom) ► The National Emblem (The Trident) ► The National Anthem (“Ukraine still lives on”)

► The territory of Ukraine is 603,700 square kilometers. Its population is 48 million. ► Ukraine has its Constitution – it is the main law of our state.

THE POLITICAL SYSTEM OF UKRAINE

The state power in Ukraine is divided into*legislative*executive*judicial

► Parliament - the Supreme Rada of Ukraine is the sole legislative body. Its constitutional membership is four hundred and fifty people's deputies. ► The President of Ukraine is the head of the state.

► The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is the highest executive body. ► Judicial power in Ukraine belongs exclusively to the courts. The Constitution Court is the sole body of constitutional jurisdiction in Ukraine.
