Ex: instead of typing “ my head hurts “ type “headache” 2) Describe what you need in as few words as possible, all of these words are searched for and some can be unrelated when separate. 3) Choose descriptive words that pull your topic apart from possible related ones. Advanced Google Searching Access Google’s Advanced Search through the new “gear” in the corner or just search it. Google Side Bar Narrow your search results by type if you know what you are looking for. Google automatically can find results based on your location! Find the most up to date results by modifying the time. Narrow by advanced search options

Advanced Google Image Search Google: Advanced Image Search Search images by: Size and ratio Specific sites or Domains By color By type of image You can also search Images for reuse, or with usage rights and control safe searches
