 1985 Aldus released PageMaker, the first desktop publishing software

 1989 AOL for Macintosh launched  1991: the internet is born  February 1991 AOL for DOS is launched 

  : internet usage increases from 1.8 to 9.1 hours on average   June 15th, 1993 the first tools to create and view PDF (Portable Document Format) files were released. PDF’s allow documents to be sent securely and preserve the authenticity of the document, in essence a pdf is a copy of the original document and can be viewed by anyone who has Adobe pdf reader installed on his/her computer.   August 24th, 1994 MSN Messenger and its network of services are launched.
