Animals change in size and shape as they grow.
A frog hatches from jelly-like eggs. Most frogs lay their eggs in water. Each female lays thousands of eggs at a time.
A frog begins life as a tadpole. A tadpole has no legs. A tadpole has a tail. A tadpole looks like a small fish. A tadpole lives in water.
As It Grows The tadpole’s hind legs begin to grow. The body becomes thicker. The tail shortens. The head becomes larger.
In a few weeks the tadpole will be a frog. Adult frogs have legs. Adult frogs do not have a tail. Adult frogs live on land.
