E-commerce Intro to Information Technology

E-commerce E-commerce is the format in which business activities, the exchange of information and the exchange of goods and services all take place over the web. This includes buying and selling products online, as well as exchanging infomation (e.g., customer service, online banking, etc.).

E-commerce Can you give some examples of E-commerce? Have you ever used a form of E-commerce? If so, what form of E-commerce have you used? Now, can you imagine yourself setting up an online storefront and conducting business everyday?

E-commerce That’s what you are going to do. You are going to demonstrate your understanding of E-commerce by creating an online company. Consider what you would like to sell online. Now, let’s start our planning phase.

E-commerce Let’s start planning: PhaseDescription Business IntroductionA short description of your company, including what you are selling and who you will market your products to. Business AnalysisDescribe the area that you will sell your products in and who your competitors will be. Business Operation PlanDescribe your products & services, as well as how you will conduct business each day. What will your daily flow of business look like? Business FinancingHow much will it cost in order to get started? How will you obtain the money to get stated? How much do you anticipate on earning per day? And what will your operating expenses be? Business SummaryIdentify the financial institutions that you can obtain funding from and create an initial outlay for all funds (expenses & receipts).

E-commerce The Creativity & the Outlay – Create a logo for your company. Cooltext.com would be a good source for this. – Using PowerPoint, list all of the products that you will sell and include images of those products. – Then, in PowerPoint, sketch out an outlay of what your storefront (or home office) will look like.

E-commerce Be ready to present your E-commerce plans to the class.
