Social workers are college-educated, highly skilled professionals with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. We view our clients from a holistic, “person-in- environment” perspective that assesses their significant relationships, economic and social conditions, physical and mental health issues, and how they function within their broader community. FSU’s College of Social Work Began in 1949 and offers three levels of degrees: B.S.W. M.S.W. Ph.D.

FSU’s College of Social Work We offer a “MINOR in SOCIAL WELFARE” at the undergraduate level – 13 hours. We have a LIMITED ACCESS BSW 50 credit hour program. Completing a BSW makes you eligible to apply for an Advanced Standing MSW program (39 credits).

Our MSW Program has Two Concentration Areas Clinical Social Work Prepares students to assess, diagnose, and treat client problems through individual, couple, family, and group therapy. Social Policy and Administration (SPA) Prepares students for leadership in policy or administrative positions in public and private social agencies serving diverse populations.
