Resources for Implementing the Technology Course of Study Suzanne Clemons, Montevallo Middle

Technology Course of Study Alabama Course of Study for Technology adopted in Shelby County Course of Study for Technology adopted in 2003.

Technology Course of Study Regular classroom teachers are expected to integrate the Technology Course of Study as part of their regular curriculum. Shelby County will be monitored by the State Department of Education in May, 2004.

How can I implement this? In Shelby County, DATA Trainer teachers from each school are currently developing materials to assist classroom teachers in implementing the course of study. These materials include handouts, videos, web pages, PowerPoint presentations, lesson plans and other materials to assist classroom teachers.

Where can I find these materials? Completed materials have been posted on the Shelby County Schools web site at Shelby County Schools, Alabama.Shelby County Schools, Alabama This page is being updated weekly and will contain resources for each objective.

What should I be doing? You are already covering many of the objectives from the technology course of study in your classes. When you cover items from the technology course of study, document the objectives in your lesson plans.

Keep up the good work! Many of the objectives in the technology course of study are things that you have been doing in your classrooms for a long time. Remember to document what you are doing since as we all know, if it is not documented, it never happened!
