Circles are everywhere!

OP is the radius of the circle

radius: distance f rom center of circle to any point on it.

Do circles have more than one radius? Yes! They have many radii!

The diameter= 2 times the radius AB is the diameter

diameter: the longest distance from one end of a circle to the other.

If OB is 8, what is the length of AB?

CD is a Chord !

chord: a line segment within a circle that touches 2 points o n the circle.

FZ is a Tangent

tangent of circle: a line perpendicular to the radius that touches ONLY one point on the circle
