The Word of God....Daily Manna

Daily Manna In this second series, we are focusing on the seven spiritual disciplines that will authenticate your faith and enable you to move from being a convert into a disciple Converts can follow Christ, man, the flesh and sometimes the enemy. Disciples make it their goal to follow Christ ONLY!

Daily Manna The first discipline we looked at last week was The Altar – where God speaks. This week we look at – The Word which is the daily bread of the disciple.

Daily Manna In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3

Daily Manna For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:33-35

Daily Manna The Bible makes it clear that The Bread of Life feeds us and cures spiritual starvation: Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time). John 6:35

Daily Manna The way to live as a Christian is to feed not only on physical food but spiritual food... But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Matt 4:4

Daily Manna This spiritual meal is recommended to be daily: Give us this day our daily bread....Matthew 6:11 Manna was delivered from God daily to the Israelites as a prophetic picture of God’s ability to feed us physically and spiritually.

Daily Manna Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Ps 68:19 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Prov 8:34 Give us day by day our daily bread. Lk 11:3 Lk 11:3

Daily Manna The [ Servant of God says] The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught]. Isaiah 50:4
