Ten Points to Remember Vehicle must be inspected for items 1 through 20 at least once per calendar month. Signature, CAPID and date at bottom of form page 1 verify the required monthly tire pressure check. It is highly recommended to check tire pressure and condition beginning of every day of use for safety and economy.

Ten Points to Remember Verification for daily inspection items 1 through 19 requires signature and CAPID for correct day on inside page prior to vehicle use. Once vehicle has been inspected for the day, it is still recommended subsequent operators inspect vehicle. If do inspect, no place for second signature, CAPID, and date but can place with a note in “ Additional Comments “.

Ten Points to Remember If no space remains in “ Additional Comments ” section, place the word “ continued ” at the bottom. Utilize available space in “ Discrepancy Report ”. Begin entry with “ Additional Comments ”, then proceed. All signatures require a CAPID along with date. Times the vehicle used for each and every purpose should follow one another in the respective column. It is the time(s) used, NOT THE DATE, you are recording.

Ten Points to Remember When: a.multiple operators use the vehicle on the same day, and b.vehicle not dedicated to a specific activity such as SAR mission, encampment, museum trip, etc., an individual entry must be placed to accurately record times used, hours of use and purpose.

Ten Points to Remember For example, Day X Driver 1 – inspects vehicle, passes and records this to cadet activities - record 3 hours in “ Times Used ” slot 1. under cadet activities Driver to administration- record 1 hour in “ Times Used ” slot 1. under administration Driver to cadet activities - record 2 hours in “ Times Used ” slot 2. under cadet activities as slot 1. filled Driver to mission support - record 4 hours in “ Times Used ” slot 1. under mission support

Ten Points to Remember

When: a. vehicle used for a specific activity, b.even if multiple operators use the vehicle on the same day, total number of hours vehicle required for the specific activity needs be recorded as vehicle dedicated to that purpose. If 24 hrs, then need record 24 hrs.

Ten Points to Remember Example 1Museum Trip Vehicle used for trip to a museum. Driver 1 inspected prior to use, passed and recorded. Depart 0800, return One hour driving time each way from squadron to museum. Driver 1 drove to the museum and Driver 2 from the museum. Time used is not 2 hrs but 9 hrs. One time, nine hours.

Ten Points to Remember 9

Example 2 Encampment Vehicle to be used at encampment for cadet activities for 7 days. Day 1 inspected prior to use, passes and recorded. Departs home squadron 0800 arrives 1200, remains at encampment. Every day inspected prior to use, passes and recorded. Day 7, departs 1200, arrives home squadron Time is as follows per respective day: 1-16 hrs, 2-24 hrs, 3-24 hrs, 4-24hrs, 5-24 hrs, 6-24 hrs, 7-17 hrs. 7 times, 153 hrs

Ten Points to Remember

Ten Points to Remember Example 3 Search and Rescue Mission Day 1 inspected prior to use, passes and recorded. Departs home squadron 1000, arrive 1300, Stop activity 2000, remain overnight, Day 2 inspected prior to use, passes and recorded. Resume activity 0800, stop 1700, Depart 1800, arrive home squadron Time is as follows per respective day: 1-14 hrs, 2-21 hrs. 2 times, 35 hrs

Ten Points to Remember

Ten Points to Remember When: a. vehicle being used for a specific activity, and b.events require vehicle to be temporarily used for another purpose, total number of hours vehicle required for the original specific activity needs be recorded as vehicle dedicated to that original purpose, but adjusted for the other use. If 24 hrs, then need record 24 hrs.

Ten Points to Remember For example, Day 4 of Encampment Receive notice at 1400 SAR mission needs use Vehicle 37xxx. Use vehicle from 1500 till 2000 for SAR. Total time for Day 4 vehicle use is 24 hrs as vehicle at encampment for 7 days. However 19 hrs need be recorded as 1 time cadet activity and 5 hrs as 1 time mission support.
