 When going up stairs with a lady always walk ahead, when going down stairs with a lady always walk behind.  When you meet a lady in the street wait for her to bow to you then tip your hat to her.  When meeting a lady in town and talking to her always walk with her, never let her stand still.  Always stand up when a lady stands up or enters the room.  Take care not to step on her dress.
