Competitive Advantage Made by: Isabel Xu Apr. 25th

Samsonite This is a famous brand on making suitcase and built up in 1910 in America.

Hermes It’s a fashion brand which is from France, they produce suitcase, clothing, perfume and they make it be variety and there are many options for consumers to choose.

Different competitive advantage Samsonite - Price - Benefits of use - placement Samsonite - Price - Benefits of use - placement

Samsonite Price They target at official men and their price is not that high and almost everyone could afford it. Their price is around $ ~ $ the products are not cheap but they belong to middle level of the price. Consumers love this and they feel the price is appropriate.

Benefits of use Travelers use suitcase and they regard them as a very important part for their journey and Samsonite provides their professional suitcase for consumers. People will not feel any uncomfortable because Samsonite focus on the convenience and practicability of products and they promise that they will let people’s trip be quite facilitate and happy. Placement You can see there are many normal shopping mall sell Samsonite and it’s probably very easy for consumers to find where they locate in. you do not need to look for senior large shopping malls.

Hermes Quality product can compete with other products in ts category by being the best of its type. They add features that will improve the product, and they take away features that consumers no longer regard as beneficial. Hermes absolutely correspond this and the producer use the best part of fur and try to make excellent purse for consumers. there's a unbeliveable number from the survey that show master use four crocodiles to make one purse. It reflects that Hermes has high quality and outstanding products.

Customer loyalty the consumer develops a strong relationship with the product and they even do not consider others and they defiitely be loyalty to Hermes.a girl wants to buy a Hermes purse since she has her own thoughts and it shows that goes beyond other competitive advntages such as price, placement, etc. It's a very important factor nd any company that would permit the loss of a relationship customer has made a major marketin error. Design features every Hermes purse was designed by great master and they must could be tested by time definitely. Products have the same design features that represent Hermes, people always could recognize its logo, design features diretly. These obvious design features impact how a product looks. Especially in the case of the fashion industry, they like the way the products make them look. the fashio design industry is fiercely competitive and exists because people like to look stylish.

Conclusion In sum, Hermes have a better competitive advantage and we can learn this from how the marketers use customer loyalty, placement, quality, benefits of use, price and design features. Hermes possess more crucial factors that could influence market and consumers' buying decisions. They keep their perponderance and carry forward them. Although Samsonite is a very popular suitcase brand and many people like this, they have no very obvious feature could represent it. However, Samsonite owns something that Hermes could not do, that is placement and it's good for civilians. Hermes try to let them be very luxury and make dreams for people and they cannot lower their price significantly because of its brand, but they still could let many rich people continue to purchase their products. Business focus on advantages with competition. They use methods by which a business holds on to its customers to fight with their competitiors. To shift sales in their direction, they also use non-sustainable competitive advantages.
