Welcome to Kazimierz Brodziński Primary School No.2 in Bochnia. Our school is a stimulating, safe and respectful learning environment, where all members of our community work in partnership to achieve the best for every child.

Kazimierz Brodziński Primary School is a large, successful school with approximately 40 teachers and 500 pupils. The school itself is situated in a beautiful park, in the heart of the great town of Bochnia. The school was built in 1876 and has played a vital role in the education of children in Bochnia since this time.

(8 March 1791 in Królówka -10 October 1835 in Dresden) Poet, historian, translator and the professor of the Warsaw University. Brodziński was, above all, a writer of elegies and pastorals. The pastoral “Wiesław” gained him universal approval.

The clasrooms are usually large rooms. They are beautifully arranged, full of brightly coloured pictures, designed for the child’s comfort, security and enjoyment. All the classrooms are connected to the Internet.

Each classroom is specifically designed for the child. The classrooms are safe, comfortable and inviting. They stimulate learning and help build classroom community.

The classroom is equipped with a TV set, an overhead projector, a screen, a V.C.R and a CD player.

The lab is equipped with specialized technology equipment and consists of 24 computers with seating for 24 students.

The School Library is situated on the first floor of the school building. It comprises the library and the reading room. Our library is a place, where one can find an interesting book to read.

The School Common Room is open from Monday till Friday (7 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.). It is a place where students can spend their free time before or after classes. Students can watch TV, use computers, play the piano and play different kinds of games. This is the place where kids have so much fun, they beg to stay longer.

The cosy room is great in providing a fantastic place for pupils to relax and have fun.

The canteen is open from Monday till Friday at dinnertime. Don’t miss the chance to taste traditional Polish food there.

This is a room for people to hang their cloaks. A room where coats and other articles may be left temporarily.

This is a place with a specific design for children to be able to play and relax there.

Our school has also 3 bigger sports fields to play football, handball, basketball or volleyball. The fields are situated next to our school.

We are extremely proud of the impressive range of extra curricular activities such as: Art, Choir, Chess, Guitar, Handball, Judo, Music, Sports, Book, Computer, English, Maths, Theatre, Historical and Polish Club.

We are really proud that our school has received so many certificates.

For many years students of our school have been practising sport and taking part in many competitions on various levels, representing our school in the regional as well as country meetings or even Championships of Poland.

Our partner school is Zakladna School, Dr. Daniel Fischer No. 2 in Kežmarok. We’ve been friends for 20 years.
