So Sally what is a Virus all I know is that it is a program, right? Your right Benny, but a Virus is an destructive program that does harm to your computer.

What do viruses do? Well, there are lots of different types, but they usually delete things from your computer and share personal information.

How do we get viruses? Well, there are many ways to get them. The main way we get them is by visiting strange sites/adverts online, they may e.g. Lead us to a competition, but they may also let a virus into our computer.

How do we get rid of viruses? Well, the easiest and simplest way to get rid of a virus to ask your parent/guardian to download a safe a software called FireFox. A FireFox stop Hackers from putting viruses into your computer.

What is a Hacker? A a person or thing that hacks into your computer.

What does a Hacker do? A hacker hacks into your account or computer in order to take over your computer to see what you have in it.

What damage does a Hacker do? A hacker hacks into your account or computer for many reasons it may be because they want to see your desktop (computer) or want to get personal details.

How do we stop them? We can stop them from getting into our computer by downloading a software called Firewall which guards your data/work.

What is a backup and hat do we back up? A Backup is a way to save your data/work which means you safe t more than once in case you e.g lose it.

Why do we backup? We backup our work/data because you ma lose it or delete it by accident.

What should we backup our work to? We backup our work/data to a media which can be a portable hard drive or we could it to ourselves by saving a copy in different places. A portable hard drive is a big black box which stores your whole computer

Where do we keep our media and how do we know it is secure? The best place to store your media is in another room or in your loft. Your should also lock it up in a safe or a BIG jewellery box.
