Chapter 6: Section 4 Point-Slope Form

The formula Point-Slope Form Slope: m The point: (x1, y1)

Use it When should we use this formula? When you have a point and the slope! Write the equation of the line that has a slope, m = 3/4, and goes through the point, (2, -1)

Write the equations of the following lines in point-slope form point: (3, 4); m = -3 point: (-2, 0); m = -2/5 point: (0, 4); m = 1

Put the previous three linear equations into slope-intercept form.

Can you get point slope from just two points? (2, 3) and (1, 5) (-4, 1) and (0, 6)
