Photosynthesis The process by which energy from the sun is used to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen

Photosynthesis Con’t Photosynthesis occurs in algae, certain types of prokaryotes, and the chloroplasts of eukaryotic plants Structure and shape of a leaf is adapted for photosynthesis Leaves are flat, only a few cells thick, and expose a large surface area to the sun CO2 from air enters leaf via adjustable pores, stomata, in epidermis
