Activities 3 Little Pigs Explore materials and textures –straw, sticks, and bricks Experiment with building houses for pigs- which material has the properties best for building. Introduce hard bendy etc Incy Wincy Spider- mini-beast hunt with bug boxes and magnifying glasses (could use plastic models if weather is still too cold) Observe and investigate webs-(especially on frosty days) Spaghetti in investigation tray. Experiment with toy spiders in the drainpipes - reinforcing positional vocabulary. Black playdough 3 Bears investigate HOT and COLD Make food to take on Teddy Bears Picnic. Humpty Dumpty Building walls with bricks Make chocolate eggs allowing children to investigate the chocolate as is melts and then solidifies. Investigate real eggs looking at them in raw and cooked state. Make egg sandwiches Row Row Row- making boats floating and sinking investigation with a range of different objects and materials. Wibbly Pig.(Jack and the Beanstalk) Look at a range of different types of seeds. Plant bean seeds and watch them grow.
