1. Drop OUT: Children having one or two doses but missed 2 nd and 3 rd dose Calculation of Dropouts: OPV Drop Outs (%)=OPV1-OPV3 X100 OPV1 Measles Dropouts(%)= BCG -Measles x 100 BCG
Dropout of TT 2 (%) = TT1 -TT2 X 100 T T1 Dropout should not be more than 10% More than 10% dropout indicates weakness of program which needs assessment and re- planning of program
1. Non availability of vaccine 2. Absence of vaccinator 3. Deficiency of syringes 4. Vaccinator may be busy with some other commitment 5. Sickness or death of any women or child after vaccination etc
Dropouts in fixed centers are of two types: 1. Children from within the catchment area of the center 2. Children outside the catchment area of the center
2. MISSED OPPORTUNITIES: 3. CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT BROUGHT TO THE CENTER 4. CHILDREN LIVING IN HARD TO REACH AREAS
