WORLD BIOME PROJECT

1.Listen very closely to what I teach during the next 5-6 lessons? Take notes in your Science Journal. 2.Apply what you learn from those lessons to your selected state, country or area from the world map. 3. Be committed to spending some additional time outside of the classroom to extend your learning. 4. Ask questions and remember if it gets tough, don’t give up!

How can I organize my research? You can use your journal to write and answer each of the I can statements. You can create note cards with each I can statement. You can use the donut strategy and place the I can statement in the middle of the donut. Any other suggestions?

What are my presentation choices? FOLDER PRESENTATION POSTERBOARD PRESENTATION POWERPOINT PRESENTATION SMARTBOARD PRESENTATION FLIP VIDEO PRESENTATION WRITTEN ESSAY PRESENTATION FLIP BOOK PRESENTATION

How will I be graded? √ Estimate Points EarnedPoints Possible I did define the meaning of a biome. 5 I did display and locate my state, country, or area on a world map. 5 I did describe the specific and unique climate, terrain, animals and plants that can be found in my biome. 5 I did identify producers, consumers, decomposers that can be found in my biome. 5 I did categorize my consumers as herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.5 I did create a food chain that can represent my biome.5 I did create a food web that includes primary, secondary and top level consumers.5 I did create a food pyramid that would represent my biome.5 Total 40 Teacher Comments: _______________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ WORLD BIOME PROJECT Evaluation Rubric
