Introduction and Purpose What does technology integration mean? How would one define it and exactly what purpose can it serve in the role of educating students.

Technology Integration For the purpose of this work shop Technology Integration is the active planning, development, and subsequent execution of measures in the classroom which leads to the infusion of technology as a tool to enhance the learning in a content area or multidisciplinary setting. Example: a pencil Primary purpose is to increase learning and student performance by: Appealing to preexisting competencies students of today commonly have. Increases student engagement by showing immediate application and relevance. Serves to develop ancillary skills critical in a “real world environment”.
