What do you already know? Ever wondered how a mobile phone works? Though you don’t need to know all of the technical details, as savvy users you should have a basic understanding.

In this lesson students are learning about: mobile phone networks and coverage possible health risks associated with mobile phone networks/usage connection types (GPRS, EDGE, 3G) environmental issues related to the manufacture, use and disposal of mobile phones

At the end of this lesson students will be able to: explain in basic terms the principles of cell networks explain the difference between connection types and check coverage in a particular area describe health concerns associated with mobile phone networks/usage describe the environmental issues associated with the manufacture, use and disposal of mobile phones
