Who is Ms. Sherretz? Born and raised in Indiana. Moved to Key West 3 years ago. Graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. This is my 3rd year as a lead teacher in 1 st grade. During my spare time I enjoy being outdoors and traveling. I am very close to my family and love seeing them every chance I get!

Who is Ms. Sangerman? Born and raised in Miami then moved to Key West to attend high school. I come from a family of multi generation Conchs. Currently, I am working on my student-teaching internship through Nova Southeastern University and will graduate in December with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. In my spare time I enjoy boating, fishing, going on adventures and spending time with family and friends.

General Procedures Arrival: Students are marked tardy if they arrive after 8:10. Please check your child in at the office. Dismissal: If you need to pick up your child early, please go to the office to do so. Please notify myself and the office of any changes in transportation. Do not assume I will check after 11:00. **If your child normally attends enrichment and you plan to pick your child up at 12, please sign out in the office. Please notify both homeroom and enrichment teachers when your child will be absent on Wednesdays. Rainy Dismissal: Typically on rainy days students will dismiss from the cafeteria. On Wednesdays because of enrichment, it may be the library. Planned Absences: Please notify me in advance to prepare make up work.

Sigsbee Behavior Philosophy Everyone in our school environment will treat each other with respect and dignity at all times. Logical consequences should directly relate to the rule that was broken, though the consequences do not have to be the same each time. Changes in thinking and behavior take time. The goal of this approach is to have students move toward acting responsibly more than acting obediently.
