Health & Wellbeing DIET

 Describe your Diet this week.  What have you had for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner?  What snacks have you had?

 To examine a healthy diet  To describe our own diets  To calculate our daily intake of Nutrients

 Complete the Nutrients Pyramid by drawing or writing in foods that are high in that nutrient  Put your diet from the starter activity into a nutrient table  Do you think your diet this week has been healthy?

 Look at the families diet.  Discuss with your group.  Complete the worksheet  Feedback to the rest of the class what you found

 Complete your weekly diet diary.  Record where possible the nutrient intake as well; for eg; x1 bag of Quavers = 90 calories  And 10grams of fat  Compare your intake to the RDI

 Name one nutrient  What type of food can this nutrient be found in?  What do you need a lot of in your diet?  What do you need a little of in your diet?  Why is a healthy diet important
