The reasons for choice  both schools are elementary schools  both are colonials  communication language is Hungarian  main profile of both schools is advanced level education of computer science  the geographical closeness gives an easy opportunity for student exchange program in the future without any material support

History of the partnership  The idea of cooperation occurred in November 2004 at a conference. Then both parties had informed their colleagues and received positive support.  The work then continued within the ranges of eTwinning - registration, theme choosing, and making the timeline.  In Sept 2005 teachers from Komárno visited school in Budapest, where the declaration of the partnership has been signed by the principals.

The aim of the project  Analyze the eating habits of our students  Survey the situation of the communal feeding at schools  Make the students acquainted with the healthy eating habits and healthy food  Map the curriculum and find where the topic occurs  Widen the traditional partnership between our schools by using of ICT

Our main goals  Making digital materials which will boost healthy eating habits.  Helping and exchanging educational methods with each other.  Making certain subjects more interesting by presentations and videos.  Involving parents in the project.  Popularization of the portal „SDT” and „Infovek”, and usage of these projects.

Timeline and Tasks 1. Examining the curriculum of all subjects– September (Word documents) 2. Assessing communal feeding– September (Pictures, webpages) 3. Collecting digital materials– October (Word docs, webpages) 4. Researching SDT and Infovek– October (Word docs) 5. Making and analyzing spreadsheets– October (Excel sheets, Word docs)

Timeline and Tasks 5. Making traditional and healthy foods November (Pictures, videos, webpages) 6. Organization of Health Day– November (Pictures, videos) 7. Offering books, CDs and Media– November (Pictures, webpages) 8. Drawing contest for pupils– November (Pictures, webpages) 9. Competition of presentations for pupils November (Presentations, web-pages)

Cooperating forms  Keeping contact via Internet ( , chat, Messenger – video conference, Skype – voice chat)  Recognition and comparison of each other`s materials  Exchanging and passing on experiences  Making and publishing our digital educating material  Personal meetings on Info Savaria Conference  Organizing Summer Camp

Pedagogical innovations  Using SDT and Infovek portals to get to know more about these themes  Integration between subjects like biology, informatics, maths, technics, art…  Organization of Project Day  Digital materials created by our pupils – CG images, weblink collection, presen- tations, digital pictures and videos  Publishing pupils´ works on the school´s website

Using ICT tools  Producing digital materials made by our pupils – scanned images, CG images, weblink collection, presentations, digital pictures and videos  Collecting recipes from the Internet  Publishing pupils´ works on the school´s website  Keeping contact as teachers among each other as well as pupils with each other using , using eTwinning´s Flash Chat, MSN Messenger, Skype

Results and issues  Schools in partnership inspire ini- tiations that benefit both teachers and pupils.  Pupils work with great entusiasm and happily get acquainted with the other schools´ teachers and pupils.  They are happy to see their works on the website. This way they develop a certain responsibility for their finished products. They try harder knowing that these products could be seen by anyone after publishing.

School year 2005/2006  Analysing the results, the created documents and developing a digital curriculum which later would be presented on the web (perhaps on CD).  Participation on each others´ school programs.  Organizing a common ski-camp.  Our idea is to nominate a joint team of the two partner schools to enter the web-creating contest of ThinkQuest international in „Health” category.

School year 2006/2007  Expansion of the topic: healthy diet, and further emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyle, sports and physical activity.  Organizing a common tour-camp. School year 2007/2008  Introduction of health destructive habits, like alcohol, drugs, smoking with the intention of deterrence.
