Warm up/ Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday How do water systems affect local, regional, and world population development?

Objective: Identify problems, and propose solutions related to water quality, circulation, and distribution – both locally and worldwide The purpose is to know water on Earth is distributed and circulated through oceans, glaciers, rivers, ground water, and the atmosphere

Station 1: Article on pollution ( water pollution) Do a what, so what, now what chart

Station 2: Read article do Venn diagram on 2 kinds of pollutions

Station 3 Make rating chart similar to paper that is on desk. Rate yourself on how you understand the standards Then come see me to look at your grade. Explain how come your grade is that way.

Station 4 Describe scientific method steps and write three questions you have about it

Exit: Describe how pollution effects water sources

Warm up Write everything you know about water, water cycle, distribution, etc.

Objective: Identify problems, and propose solutions related to water quality, circulation, and distribution – both locally and worldwide The purpose is to know water on Earth is distributed and circulated through oceans, glaciers, rivers, ground water, and the atmosphere

Station 1: Pre-assessment on knowledge of water testing Article on how scientists test water and water quality – make a book of your understandings as a group

Station 2 Organize vocabulary words into categories matching definition with word

Station 3 Work on project- look up two different projects you want to do for your science fair project. Show teacher to get approved

Exit How do scientists test your water and what do they look for to qualify it as safe water?

Warm up/Monday-Wednesday : Describe how you can save more water

Thursday-Friday Do project

Objective: Identify problems, and propose solutions related to water quality, circulation, and distribution – both locally and worldwide The purpose is to know water on Earth is distributed and circulated through oceans, glaciers, rivers, ground water, and the atmosphere

Station 1 What are wetlands and how are they beneficial? What is groundwater and what is the importance of it? – read article

Station 2 Come up with 3 ways you can help conserve water Survey your water usage Dye in toilet Compost pile

Station 3: Conservation project nswaters/waters2.pdf nswaters/waters2.pdf Come up with a water filtration system and how it contributes to water conservation

Station 4: Work on science fair project. Look up materials needed and how to do a hypothesis.
