Maths Test Papers Explained Non-Calculator Paper - A 45 minute written paper (out of 40 marks) Assess all areas of mathematics including written methods Calculator Paper - B 45 minute written paper (out of 40 marks) Assess ability to choose when to use a calculator and interpreting the display, as well as other areas Mental Mathematics Assess ability to perform mental calculations in a given time (5, 10 and 15 seconds). (out of 20 marks) Total: out of 100 Level 4 scores usually between 45 and 78 marks 2
