Ministry of Education and Culture  e-Learning and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) are key priorities for education and training policy in Europe.  These new technologies can transform the traditional educational processes and they have the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning.  The Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) is designing and implementing a plan for the integration of ICT to the Educational System. 2

Ministry of Education and Culture  AeL (Advanced eLearning) is a high-end Learning Management System, created by the Romanian company Siveco.  It combines a web-based user friendly interface with advanced functionality.

Ministry of Education and Culture  The DEC has been developed for 17 subjects of Upper Secondary General and Technical and Vocational Education  The DEC has been developed by two contractors chosen through a European Tender (that was conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture).  The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund (50%) and by national resources (50%) 8
