What is Facebook? Facebook is a world-wide social network that allows its members to communicate, connect and engage with each other.

What can you do on Facebook? Locate and reconnect with friends. See friends’ photos and status updates. Show your support for Dominican Sisters and other organizations by “Like”-ing their page. Comment on stories and pictures. Send private and/or public messages. Share your own photos and news with groups of friends or with the public. Make connections and share your interests. Play games, keep track of birthdays, and more.

What does it look like? There are two main “views” on Facebook: News/Home (public feed) page Shows all your friends’ posts as they occur. Profile (private) page Shows posts you created and posts that friends make on your page.
