THE E-BALL TECHNOLOGY The future pc is here!! A new concept of pc has now arrived and that is E-Ball Concept pc that uses the laser rays. The E-Ball concept pc is a sphere shaped computer which is the smallest design among all the computers. Designed by Apostol Tnokovski this computer has all the features like a traditional computer

SIZE OF E-BALL E-Ball is the smallest PC ever made It is a 6 inch diameter sphere Consists of 120 x 120 mm motherboard

FEATURES OF E-BALL E-Ball contains wireless optical mouse , laser keyboard and LCD projector It has around 350-600GB of Hard Disk Drive. It contains 5GB RAM It has two 50W speakers It has LAN and WLAN card and a Web cam. i-tech virtual keyboard Dual core processor Integrated graphics and sound card LCD projector paper holder

ELEMENTS OF E-BALL

LASER KEYBOARD (VIRTUAL KEYBOARD) A Virtual keyboard is a projection keyboard that is projected and touched on any surface. The user operates by typing on or within a wireless or optical detectable surface or area rather than by depressing physical keys.

This uses sensor technology and artificial intelligence to let users work on any surface as if it were a keyboard. The software and hardware part recognizes the typed characters and pass it to the computer. It uses light to project a full-sized computer keyboard This being a small , handy , well designed and easy to use application turns into a perfect solution for cross platform multilingual text input.

WORKING OF E-BALL

E-Ball is to be placed on two stands, opens by pressing and holding the two buttons located on each side of the pc. Once the pc is turned on , the mouse button has to be clicked to detach the optical mouse and there is also a similar button for the laser keyboard.

Keyboard : Infrared rays and Laser Mouse : RF receiver and RF transmitter LCD projector

IF THERE IS NO WALL? In case there is no wall or any output device , we can make use of the paper sheet as a screen to project the output. The E-Ball pc provides a paper sheet holder placed at its back panel. The holder can be opened by pressing it in the lower part.

THE SOFTWARE INTERFACE The software interface of E-Ball concept pc is highly stylized with icons that can be remembered easily and also supports all type of windows operating system.

SCENARIOS OF USE

MERITS E-Ball is a portable device It has large memory Useful for making video presentations They have greater speeds Supports user-defined keyboard layouts

DEMERITS Normal OS cannot work in these computers Cost is very high It is difficult to understand if any problems occur in hardware components

CONCLUSION Our imaginations have dressed into reality and today it has become possible to have a whole computer in our pocket all the time. This ball computer has taken the computer technology to new horizons. "Technology makes it possible for people to gain control over everything, except over technology." - John Tudor  "Once a new technology rolls over you, if you're not part of the steamroller, you're part of the road. "- Stewart Brand
